Terms and Conditions

Pronouns
Throughout these terms and conditions, 'we', 'us', 'our' and similar words refer to Albion Software Engineering Limited, while 'you', 'your' and similar words refer to the person or organisation contracting us to provide a service.

Expenses
Where a contract has been agreed or a price quoted which includes the term 'plus expenses', you by accepting the contract or commissioning us to perform the service, agree to pay us all reasonable expenses. This includes, but is not limited to, such expenses as travel, consumables, postage, letter writing, and purchase of software or hardware not in our sole opinion generally useful to our business.

Payment.
Full payment of all agreed sums, including expenses where appropriate, is due at the completion of work or services of a finite length, such as programming tasks, or at the beginning of service provision for ongoing services, such as web-hosting. We reserve the right to withdraw any and all services or the benefits thereof following failure to pay all sums due. If payment is not made in a timely manner, we may take any measures we deem necessary to recover the sums due. You agree that in such case you will additionally pay any and all incidental expenses we incur in the process of recovering said sums.

Legality.
All services provided by us are to be used only for purposes that are consistent with the laws of Scotland. You indemnify us from any and all damages or prosecution accruing from your failure to act within said laws.

Licenses.
Software provided by us is subject to such licences as we may from time to time issue. You agree to abide by the terms of the licences which are in force on the software which you are provided with, at the time at which such software is made available.

Domain Name Registration.
In cases where we register an internation domain name (.com, .org, .net) on your behalf, you are further bound by the terms of TUCOWS, as outlined in the Domain Name Registration Terms and Conditions, and agree to abide by the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy.
In cases where we register a .uk domain name (.co.uk, .org.uk) on your behalf, you are further bound by the terms of TUCOWS, as outlined in the Domain Name Registration Terms and Conditions, and agree to abide by the Nominet Terms and Conditions.
In cases where we register a .info domain name on your behalf, you are further bound by the terms of TUCOWS, as outlined in the Domain Name Registration Terms and Conditions.
In cases where we register a .biz domain name on your behalf, you are further bound by the terms of TUCOWS, as outlined in the Domain Name Registration Terms and Conditions.
In cases where we register a .name domain name on your behalf, you are further bound by the terms of TUCOWS, as outlined in the Domain Name Registration Terms and Conditions.
These conditions are subject to changes outside our control, and we accept no responsibility for how you may be affected by such changes.

Legal System.
Disputes between you and us shall be resolved under the laws of Scotland.

Acceptance.
By our undertaking work for you, with your permission, whether verbal, written or otherwise, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions outlined here.

Variation.
We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time by giving you thirty days notice. If you disagree with the new conditions that have been imposed, you have the right within the thirty days to tell us in writing. We will then refund or not invoice (as appropriate) for any portion of service not provided by us.

Written Conditions.
A written copy of these conditions is available upon request.
